A bone about the owner…..
The business is owned and operated by Karen Munro. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Her work experience includes 28 years in the private sector within both the Defense and Consumer Product Industries.
Having a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the love of animals, she has left the corporate environment with the desire to create a personalized pet care service where owners can truly be comfortable knowing that their family pets are getting the very best care by someone who is treating them like their own.
Being a pet owner for most of her life, she brings a wealth of experiences and understanding of what’s genuinely involved with ensuring the overall good health of a pet. From a balanced diet to adequate exercise to regular vet checkups, pets need daily care and plenty of love. She also understands the many difficulties of being a pet owner. Two of the biggest complaints she hears from pet owners is that they don’t have enough time to provide adequate exercise for their pets and they hate to see their pets confined to a kennel while they are away. The bottom line is that our pets, especially dogs love to romp and play. Daily exercise is essential for a long healthy life. As for boarding….it isn’t for everyone, especially those pets that have never seen the inside of a crate. She tried boarding her dogs once, but they just didn’t come home happy, so they have never been boarded again. Some pets are just more comfortable in their own home, despite their owners being away.
Our business plan was developed with all of these circumstances in mind. Our company mission is to provide the most reputable pet care service in the area; a service that is not only needed by many pet owners, but more importantly, where your pet’s happiness and welfare is our main objective.
Everyone always says "your dogs seem so happy…their tails are always wagging"….hence…my company name. “They are happy dogs…I pride myself on that. I admit….they are a bit spoiled…but they’re all great dogs and I love them. They live a happy and healthy lifestyle which is what every pet needs and deserves. The way I see it…. I’m simply giving back to them what they give to me."
When asked why she entered the pet care business, she responds…"there’s nothing sweeter than the joy that we get from our pets…..their love and devotion is unconditional…..I can’t imagine spending my day any other way!"
